Today we are blessed with one of the many nuggets in the scripture that is only available for the spiritually deep to access. God gives to Joshua a key that will help him to achieve prosperity and not just success but good success. The statement goes to confirm that there can be good and bad success. This is a good point to access this nugget as it reveals the need to be sure of the success achieved by anyone before celebrating it as the success may be good or bad.

How can a success be bad? A success will be seen as bad if it comes with accompanying negatives. It will also be bad success if it is a swap of one success for the other or an option of having one success which forecloses other forms of success. The scenario of the former successes is that one has to lose one success to get the current while the latter success scenario implies that no other success would be expected after the current. That definitely cannot be God’s type of success. The Bible says God’s success comes without sorrow – Prov. 10:22.

The same scripture reveals that the success will come because of the way God will prosper such a person. This will happen due to three reasons revealed in that same scripture:
1. Such individual will always pronounce the words of God especially concerning the relevant situation that he/she has found him/her self.
2. Such individual must meditate in those words day and night.
3. Such an individual must observe and operate his life along those words.
Whao! What a great revelation. Because the word of God is true all the time and He it was that said he ranks His Words more than His name (Ps. 138:2), there is no doubt that operating these three cardinal points will provide good success, so we will be favoured if we dig deeper into these bible nuggets.

Firstly, one who wants to pronounce the Word of God as laid out in the scriptures must have spent time familiarizing with it. It is completely impossible to know or pronounce words that one has not taken time to learn. A Christian who does not spend time reading the Word of God as written in the scriptures cannot pronounce them and by inference may not be able to have good success. One then begins to wonder how Christians expect prosperity of the type that will produce good success if they ignore platforms where the Word is being shared. If you are serious in your desire for this kind of success, then you must start your journey to it by being punctual in locations where the bread of life which is the Word of God is being divided rightly – 2Tim. 2:15. I pray that as you develop great appetite for His Word, He, will Himself, through the Holy Spirit, explain it to you in Jesus name. Amen.
Secondly, and still following the advice of the Almighty God through the Holy Spirit to Joshua, is the need for him to meditate in those same words day and night. To meditate on these Words is to see these Words as a standard by which you measure yourself as to where you stand. Of course proper understanding of the Word will help you to get the true standard, and honest approach from you during meditation will let you see where exactly you stand. This act is to be carried out throughout the day (day and night) as it relates to everything that one is involved with as it helps one to maintain a godly approach to all that one is doing. There is no way an individual who operates based on this will not be led right by the Holy Spirit to achieve good success.

Thirdly, is that one who desires good success must operate his or her life with the policies as stated in the relevant scriptures. It will not just be enough to read it in order to be able to pronounce it and mediate on it day and night without practicing it as a way of life. Christians are not allowed to be mere hearers of the Word but must also be doers of it – Jms. 1:22.

With this golden secret available to the Christian, one begins to wonder why success is scarce amongst Christians. It is simply an indication of how much we follow these divine laws of God as His Word remains His bond. Once he says it, He accomplishes it.

I pray for you that God Himself will increase your appetite for His Word, will give you ability to honestly mirror and assess your life in the Word and will help you to use it as the compass of your life so that you can give your own testimony of good success in Jesus name. Amen.
