It Is Possible!

“…with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” – Matthew 19:26 KJV

The word “impossible” is one that the Christian should never entertain neither should Christians allow people with the “impossible” mentality to be comfortable around them. Most people after so many years of experiencing failure have unknowingly developed the pessimistic attitude to everything. They may not even be aware of how much damage the failures over the years have done to their psyche but they just cannot see any positive in any venture.

For such Christians they may actually be victims of people around them who as far as they are concerned, believe that highlighting the negatives and danger of the plan is their way of demonstrating their love and their desire to help in avoiding failure whereas some of these “impossibility” people are actually under the influence of a negative spirit that uses them to discourage and frustrate the efforts of progressive minded people.

Also of note is another group who base their conclusions on what they call “facts available to them” whilst some are just presenting a picture of impossibility out of envy and strife. All these people irrespective of the reason for their negativism carry with them such a convincing approach and spirituality such that the person being fed with such negativism will have to battle to overcome.

Some are not just negative in their suggestions but they follow up with contending spirit because they desire to be proved right. It may not be because they dislike the individual but more of an ego tripping act. They just want to be proved right without being conscious of what damage their being right will bring. Such people are quick to remark “I told you so” when eventually failure expectation prediction comes to fulfilment.

As a Christian, you do not need this negative energy around you because they unconsciously get to you and eventually make you stop believing in yourself and your God. They are usually not people already classified as enemies else they would not even have had access to the thought process in the first place. They are usually amongst family members, friends and even church leaders and they quietly and unconsciously introduce doubt and unbelief into us.

With people like this you cannot commence any venture as everything is made to look impossible because just as the above scripture reveals, with them all things are impossible. The only reason why you probably did not take that step that was to be your breakthrough just as the only reason why you may never take your breakthrough step is because of these “It is impossible” personalities around you. They can only see your inabilities but cannot see your abilities.

The above scripture says “with God all things are possible”. So why are you entertaining doubts if you carried God along from the beginning. Of course if you did not, then you are likely to see that breakthrough move as impossible. To move with God is to go in the journey using his schedule. To move with God is to have faith in Him and his ability. It is to operate in His power and put on His armour. He that is walking with the Lord takes only instructions and directives from Him and so is only able to see and embark on only possibilities.

What is that idea that you think is a breakthrough idea. Share it with the Lord. Seek His view about it and wait on Him for approval. With His approval quietly and respectfully discard any view different from what he has told you. With this all that you will do will be successful and the “impossible” word will disappear from your lexicon. All you will know going forward will be possibilities because with Him in your life, all things are indeed possible.
